Water quality testing

13.55 Turbidimeter PCcompact
The PCcompact is designed as a compact, easy to use instrument to determine turbidity fast and accurate. A light emitting diode (LED) is used as a light source with a photodetector positioned to detect light scattered by a sample at 90° to the incident beam. The LED is characterised by maximum long-term stability and monochromatic light emission with minimum power input. The sample chamber is fully sealed, so no water can penetrate into the electronic components. The size of the sample chamber ensures easy cleaning of the light entry surfaces. The PCcompact may be used as test equipment with software-based calibration adjustment facilities. Battery operation makes the unit suitable for both mobile use and laboratory applications.

18.41 Reflectometer RQ-flex
Using the portable reflectometer RQ-flex various anions and cations in water, substrates or in watery extracts of soil, compost, plant tissues, etc. are measured. The measuring system consists of: various analysis strips for different parameters and the reflectometer. Every tube with analysis strips is supplied with a bar code. Before using the strips the bar code is slipped through the meter for adjustment and control. The instrument is fitted with a user-friendly menu driven operation. Because of the double optics, the wave length correction and the charge specific adjustment, the reflectometer is capable of accurate measurements. Via the bar code all information required is read in: analysis method, charge number, wave length correction factor, charge specific adjustment and response time. The double optics and the charge specific information of the bar code guarantee a relatively excellent accuracy.
